New microphones in Hickman 101 & 138; Hill 116

We have upgraded the wireless microphones in Hickman 101 & 138, as well as Hill 116.

These microphones require (2) AA batteries; not the usual 9 volt battery. The AA batteries should provide a longer life.

To operate the wireless microphones, press and hold the MUTE button, located on the top of the microphone, for 2 seconds. The LED will turn green. An instructional label has also been placed on the microphone.

We will ensure that there are ample AA batteries in the projection booths in Hickman 101 & 138, as well as the podium drawer in Hill 116.

Hill 116

HILL 116 - The classroom has undergone a major renovation and is the University's latest enhanced classroom. The room has a new podium, equipped with a data projector, dvd player, vcr, document camera, sound system and multiple a/v and data inputs. There are plans to install a dedicated computer to the podium as a trial situation.

The classroom does not have wired internet connectivity at this time, however laptops with wireless capabilities will be able to connect through the wireless network. A permanent network connection will be added in the near future.

Beck 221

Beck 221 has been upgraded. A new ceiling mounted data projector has been installed, replacing the 36" monitor previously utilized in the room.
